At Sandalwood High School, we are proud to be large enough to offer an exceptional variety of support options, activities, and experiences. But the Sandalwood High community also nurtures small, close-knit groups where each student’s interests and confidence can grow. After more than half a century of educating tomorrow’s leaders, athletes, and standout citizens, often over multiple generations, we proudly say, “Once a Saint, always a Saint” and we can’t wait for the next generation of Saints to join us!

Why Parents Love Sandalwood

Sandalwood High celebrates each student’s individuality and realizes there are many paths to success. Whether the goal is to attend college, standout in the workforce, or serve in the military, we have the plan and the process to help students see their dreams realized. Our dual enrollment and early college programs allow students to earn high school diplomas while earning as much as two years of college credits for free in high school. Our AVID (Achievement Via Individual Determination) program provides additional support to a variety of students, including first-generation college-bound students. Our career academies get students ready to excel in information technology, culinary arts and building construction. We accomplish much of this through strong partnerships with JEA, Northrup-Grumman, Microsoft, University of North Florida, Florida State College at Jacksonville and more. Along with these incredible programs, we are proud of our Sandalwood AFJROTC (Air Force Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp), and widely recognized for its military service training programs.

Why Students Love Sandalwood

Even as we uphold high academic standards, our Saints culture is easy-going and relaxed. Our faculty is committed, caring and compassionate. Our students have access to extra-curricular activities sure to inspire, including more than 80 clubs! Whether it’s the Sandalwood Academy of Information Technology (S.A.IN.T.), Junior Civitan, woodshop, computer science, chorus, cooking, drama club or countless other organizations, there’s something for every student. We are also known for our incredible school spirit. Whether students are playing or cheering, we all love being a part of Saints Nation! For athletes, our renowned Sandalwood Saints regularly turn students into leaders on the field, who learn discipline, teamwork, and responsibility. All while playing to win! Join us for boys’ and girls’ sports including football, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, swimming (in our on-campus pool), lacrosse, and others. Game on!

What Your Children Will Learn

Sandalwood students learn and grow in their own way. They build the self-confidence needed to navigate life in high school and after high school. They achieve more than ever imagined and respect the achievements of others. They feel the value of being part of a large school family, while finding their place in smaller learning communities. After working hard in the classroom, our Saints learn how to make life fun. You may find them dancing to the sounds of our award-winning Sandalwood Marching Saints Band during a half-time show, mastering the details of robotic technology, operating a drone, or cooking up a memorable feast for friends as part of our culinary program.

Why We're Unique

Sandalwood High School’s 50+ years of bringing out the best in our students has families returning to us generation after generation. It’s that legacy of Saint success that says it all. Our teachers and staff support each student’s individual high school journey and helps them realize their dreams. The diversity of our population and the variety of our programs offer something for everyone at Sandalwood.

“Our faculty cares a lot, and we all work to support the individual young person through our smaller learning pods. Our Saints leave here confident and ready to succeed in life after school.” – Patrick Nolan, Teacher
